My friend , she died today
Tears falling down my face
But I know she is in a peaceful place
No pain anymore just peace
The angels came for her
It was her time
We didn't know when it would be
We had taken each day as it came
Laughed and talked
About this and that
Many hours in fact
She lived for the next day
One day at a time
That was the way to go
Now she is gone
